Using the Riser cable as a vertical distribution in the buildings is nowadays one of the most popular ways of constructing FTTH, and namely due to its easy installation. It is that simple cutting out working windows on the cable in the places where necessary and then pulling out the fibers.

In FTTH RISER solution based on floor distribution boxes, after installing one cable to 12 apartments, 12 fibers are terminated on SC/APC adapters. Connecting customers then goes very quickly, without the necessity of splicing, just by mere placing a patchcord between the floor box and the customer’s premises.
