Virtual or Physical Fair – Which One Was Better?
The Virtual Event Fiberweek20
From 12 to 16 October 2020, we were part of our first virtual event Fiberweek20.
We were very curious how the fair would take place, how visitors would behave at the fair, what they would ask about. At the fair, we had a virtual booth with presentation of our key products, FTTx Solutions, webinars, catalogues, interactive brochures and videos.
We closed our participation in the fair with many new contacts and visits of our good business partners.
The University THD in Les Sables d'Olonne
From 20 to 21 October 2020, we participated in the University THD in Les Sables d'Olonne in France. It was great that we could be there physically. We took the opportunity to meet our partners in France and show our and PLP products. The event was focused on fiber network deployment in France.
The course of the University THD exceeded our expectations. The result is a confirmation for us that the positive development of FTTx network construction in times of pandemic is not only possible but also important. It shows that our future-oriented comprehensive network solutions are more in demand. Even in the year of our 30th birthday, Micos Telcom provided important incentives at the fair – confirmed by the visit of the French MINISTER OF STATE FOR THE DIGITAL TRANSITION AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION Mr. Cedric O at our joint booth with PLP France.
Which One Was Better?
Each fair had its positives. We noticed many visits at the virtual fair, we didn’t expect it. We communicated rather via e-mails than chats or video calls. That is not the best solution in comparison with personal face-to-face contact.
The French fair surprised us with some unexpected visits of very interesting people. It was a great opportunity to establish contacts with them.
